Where are you located?

We are located at 36-38 Paisley Drive, Lawnton Qld 4501.

When are you open?

We are open
WEDNESDAY from 9am-11am. (Community & a Cuppa)
FRIDAY from 3pm-5pm. (Food Parcel Distribution Day)

What do you offer the community?

We provide:

  • Free tea, coffee and biscuits
  • Free bread
  • Free food parcels to people in crisis
  • Clothing for $2.50 per item
  • Interpersonal support
  • Free fruit and vegetables on Fridays
  • No referral needed, just turn up with photo ID
Who visits the Vineyard Mercy Centre?

Anyone in physical or relational need. This includes women and children escaping domestic violence, the homeless, refugees, pensioners, families who are under financial stress, people who are unemployed, people with a mental illness or intellectual impairment, the socially isolated; people on low incomes and many children.

What resources do you have?

We are staffed by a co-ordinator and up to 20 volunteers and are funded from a number of sources:

  • Grants
  • A once a year Thanksgiving Offering
  • "Sponsor a food parcel" program
  • Food drives in local business and community
  • Over 5000 loaves of bread and other bakery items donated per year from Jacobs Bakery Brendale and Aspley
  • OzHarvest
  • Sales of donated clothing
Are donations tax deductible?

Yes - all donations over $2 are tax deductable.
